Baffert may send pair in Sham

By Steve Andersen

ARCADIA, Calif. - Conveyance, the undefeated winner of the Grade 3 San Rafael Stakes at Santa Anita on Jan. 16, worked six furlongs in 1:13.20 on Thursday, and is a candidate for the $150,000 Sham Stakes here on Feb. 27, trainer Bob Baffert said.

Owned by Zabeel Racing, Conveyance won a maiden race and an allowance race last year.

Baffert may have more than one runner in the Sham, which is run over 1 1/8 miles. The Program, who won an allowance race for 3-year-olds on Wednesday, is being considered for the same race. The Program ran 1 1/16 miles in 1:44.64, winning by a nose over stablemate Indian Firewater.

The Program has yet to win a stakes. He was fourth in the Grade 1 CashCall Futurity at Hollywood Park in December.
